Available soon: CAN-LIN Gateway for the LPS II
While driving in a motorhome, the Lithium Power Supply II (LPS II) supplies smartphones, coffee machines and much more with power. Soon it will be possible to read information about the LPS II directly from the vehicle display in various vehicles. Mercedes-Benz is the first to do so.
Under a lucky star
Soon to be: anyone who uses a Mercedes-Benz motorhome or van can look forward to seeing important information about the Lithium Power Supply II (LPS II) connected there in the display of the Marco Polo, Sprinter or other model in the near future.
The new CAN-LIN Gateway from LEAB ensures that all information is transported via the LPS II - our all-in-one solution for mobile power supply - directly to the interface module of the motorhome (Mercedes-Benz Advanced Control/MBAC), which is used to control functions such as lighting or heating. In addition to being shown on the multimedia display of the Mercedes-Benz vehicle, the content can also be shown on additional displays in the motorhome body or in the MBAC app. This way, you always have an overview of the current charging status, the device status and other important information about the LPS II.
Widely used standard
Fortunately, these advantages are not only reserved for users of Mercedes vehicles; with our CAN-LIN Gateway, the LPS II data can also be displayed in all motorhome conversions with on-board management systems according to CI standards. The common standard for the digitalisation of the caravanning industry is now supported by 67 member companies on four continents and is found in a large number of motorhomes built after 2011.
Our CAN-LIN gateway will be available for use in these vehicles before the end of this camping season. More about the launch date and further details will be available here soon.
