LPS and Power Pack in mobile hydraulic service

Decades of experience, branches all over Germany, a vehicle fleet that is in use all over Europe: this customer is without question in demand - just like its service: with its in-house vehicle fleet, which specialises in mobile hydraulic service, it supplies, among other things, special and commercial vehicles that operate machines and tools during their working day.

The customers requirements

Our customer had not been completely satisfied with the AGM solution used in the service vehicles for a long time - technical errors and problems kept occurring.

If, for example, a service vehicle cannot get out for a whole working day due to a defect in the mobile power supply, this quickly results in a large financial loss.

What they were looking for was a much more efficient solution that, in the best case scenario, would also be more environmentally friendly, lighter and absolutely reliable.

In addition, the customer's service vehicles often operate consumers and tools that require a lot of energy - for example hydraulic presses for the assembly of hoses. The new mobile power supply should also be able to cope with this.

Our solution: LPS and Lithium Power Pack

12-volt outputs, an inverter for 230 volts, a modern battery management system, an exact battery status display: After an intensive exchange, it quickly became clear that the LPS already fulfilled numerous requirements.

Customer benefits of this combination

With the addition of a Lithium Power Pack 12-100, we were able to put together a combination that provides a lot of power over a long period - up to 200 ampere hours in total. A MelfBox was also integrated for the purpose of external power supply.

Thanks to our combination, our client now enjoys numerous financial and environmental benefits:

• Compared to the previous AGM solution, there is now a significantly larger storage capacity - so the vehicle no longer has to constantly run the engine to recharge. This results in enormous diesel and CO2 savings.

• The integrated charge booster and the integrated charger of the LPS enable a significantly faster recharging while driving.

• The extreme weight saving compared to the AGM solution also contributes to lower diesel consumption.

• Keyword charging cycles: The LPS and the Lithium Power Pack offer a multitude of charging cycles and a long shelf life.

• Since lithium batteries can be used almost 100%, the amount of energy provided is significantly higher. With AGM batteries, up to 40 % of the capacity cannot be accessed.

Due to the positive installation and application experiences, further service vehicles from the customer's fleet are to be equipped with our combination of LPS and Lithium Power Pack in the future.
