Re-certifications successfully mastered
Two things have always been particularly important to us at LEAB: creating high-quality products and never losing sight of environmental aspects. That is why we have been certified according to ISO 9001 (quality management) and ISO 14001 (environmental management) since 2006.
A few days ago, the recertification, which takes place every three years, was on the agenda. Long story short: We successfully passed again.
"You are always a little nervous prior to an audit like this, but of course we keep a constant eye on our processes; therefore, we had no concerns," says Nicole Schmidt, Head of Quality Management at LEAB.
Four days of audit
We recently received an auditor from the German Society for the Certification of Management Systems (DQS GmbH). For four days he inspected the processes in the company with regard to environmental (ISO 14001) and quality management (ISO 9001).
" Every form of feedback is an opportunity for us to improve. It's not always just specific instructions for action; we also read a lot of things between the lines and work thoroughly around the issues," says Nicole Schmidt, who emphasises that companies can only use their potential to the full if they are not afraid of change.
We consider every form of feedback as an opportunity to improve.
Involving the team
One thing that has been improved since the latest rotation is the company suggestion scheme. This involves methods and systems so that employees can make suggestions for improvement on a voluntary basis. LEAB is thus certified again for three years according to the ISO standards 9001 and 14001 as of 14 August.
